According to Khun Borom legends, there were 2 Muang Then or Then Kingdoms. The first one was built around 289 A.D, in the area by Erhai Lake of today. Mouang Then was also known as Nong Sae Kingdom and Muang Pak Ai. The lake, Nong Sae, was also known as Nong Ka Sae Saen Yarn. (Nong means Lake) |
